Starting School Texts

Starting the new school year with a bunch of newbies, the babies, the Kindergarten angels can be daunting but should definitely be embraced for it is such a special time in the lives of these students as well as their families.

I love to share texts with my students each day with them all sitting at my feet, eyes on the pictures and imaginations running wild. I start with reading the title and predicting what the story may be about from the title and the front cover illustration. Then follow the book up with a multitude of activities.
