Harper’s Mansion in NSW
The state's only English-style hedge maze is at Harpers Mansion, a National Trust property overlooking Berrima, in NSW's Southern Highlands. The maze, planted in 1999 in the area of the former coach-house and stables, is one of the largest hedge mazes in Australia. Open only for the weekend. Historic Trust members get in free.
Bago Maze and Wine in NSW
Find the vineyard only a 30-minute drive from Port Macquarie. The Bago Maze has been a popular spot for tourists for over ten years and was awarded the 2022 Landscape Architecture Award Winners For Tourism. You are sure to delight in this beauty that stands just over two metres tall. Wander the maze for 20 minutes or you may choose to take your time and explore for an hour, searching for hidden items along the way such as musical instruments concealed within the maze. Fun for all the family, and pram and wheelchair accessible. Open all year round.
Mayfield Garden Maze in NSW
The Mayfield Garden Maze is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind structure set among the enchanting grounds of Mayfield Garden, located in Oberon, a picturesque three-hour drive from Sydney. This historic estate is set on a spectacular 65-hectare private and peaceful garden that provides the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of exploration and adventure. Paths winding through grassy pastures and unique gardens, set high on the hill make for a great spot for a picnic, overlooking views of the lush surrounding paddocks. Best to visit in Spring, yet it is open all year round, even when covered in snow.
Yallingup Maze in WA
Head far west to Margaret River, where you will be able to experience this fun family park. Situated on a picturesque rural property, which features a massive outdoor maze, a cafe overlooking the stunning parkland vista, a puzzle shop and a playground. It's a great location for those looking for a fun family day out, with mini golf, bouncy castle, puzzle cafe or something different for kids’ parties and special occasions.
The timber maze has five feature towers and bridges to explore. Four corner towers are numbered with the central tower being the fifth and final tower. You can choose to meander to the towers in any order and enjoy the journey or take the challenge. The challenge is to reach the four corner towers in numerical order, completing the challenge at the central tower.
AMaze'n Margaret River in WA
Another attraction near Western Australia’s wine country is AMaze’n. Open for over 23 years now, the beautiful five-hectare landscaped gardens and grounds have wowed guests from all over the world. The giant hedge maze Leighton’s Green, stands over three metres tall, and consists of over 2000 plants and 1.5 km worth of pathways. Make your way to the middle to be rewarded with an incredible lookout. Once completed the maze, try your hand at mini golf or there are lots of smaller mazes to solve too, a playground, barbeque, and picnic areas. All paths have been designed for easy wheelchair access.
Woodsies Gem Shop in VIC
Head out to Nichols Point where you will find Woodsies Gem Shop, a puzzling garden maze, and a fascinating crystal and gem collection. The Maze will mentally and physically challenge, excite and entertain young and old alike. Inside visit Alladins Cave, where you will find an extensive collection of crystals, fossils, and carvings, whilst heading outside will get your adrenaline pumping with friends or family in the renowned garden maze. An informative and fun way to spend a morning.
Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens in VIC
If you are after a day out that is both magical and unexpected, then a visit to the Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens is a must. Find Australia's oldest and most famous hedge maze as well as a beautiful circular maze made up completely of roses and lavender in the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula. Dare to find the four mosaic flags amongst the stunning hedge maze which now stands over three metres high and two metres wide. The circular rose maze tests your abilities as you attempt to find your way into the central arbour, making your way past more than 1200 bushes and 217 different rose varieties chosen specifically for their colour and perfume. You will also find the winding paths of the lavender labyrinth (4000+ lavender plants) which leads to a viewing platform floating above the lavender. Originally a farm, you are welcome to wander the gardens and visit the gift shop, and the mud-brick cafe. An immensely popular spot for weddings and events.

The award-winning natural, adventure park is set in two hectares of bushland in Arthurs Seat. Bellingham Hedge Maze is within Amaze World in QLD
You will find one of the most loved attractions, Amaze World on the subtropical Sunshine Coast hinterland, featuring a remarkable star-shaped 80m × 80m living, lilly pilly hedge maze as well as a timber maze, rope maze, tyre maze, mini golf and other brain-challenging puzzles. Originally opened in 1993, Amaze World has been popular ever since. This place will keep you entertained for hours.
Mintaro Maze in South Australia
Mintaro Maze, set on beautiful grounds in Clare Valley, is planted on land that was originally used to impound bullock traffic back in the 1800s. Bullock teams travelling between Burra and Port Wakefield would stop in Mintaro to rest. As you meander through the pathways of the living hedge maze, be amazed by over 800 conifers, and featuring fountains and many twists and turns. Open every weekend, yet closed all of February for annual maintenance.

Located in the appropriately named, Promised Land, you will find this funky attraction which features eight outdoor garden mazes, including The Great Maze, Balance Maze, Yellow Brick Road Maze, and the Hampton Court Maze as well as an unusual miniature-model village of Lower Crackpot.
