See Sydney From Above

Recently, one late Saturday afternoon, my boyfriend and I decided to elevate our Sydney experience and got to experience the beauty of Sydney from above, visiting the Sydney Tower Skywalk which was both great education and entertainment. It was very memorable and a Sydney attraction I can highly recommend.

Here are some tips to help you make the most of your visit:

Booking with Klook: Using Klook to book our tickets a few months prior was a breeze. With just a few clicks, we secured admission to the Observation Deck on the date we wanted, ensuring a seamless start to our sky-high adventure. Or you can book on the Sydney Tower Eye website also and save 20% by booking online.

Ascending to New Heights: Upon arrival, we eagerly boarded the lift, whisking us up countless floors to the Observation Deck. The journey was swift, with no stops along the way, adding to the anticipation of what awaited us above.

Skywalk Tour: For the ultimate thrill-seekers, we opted for the 60-minute guided Skywalk tour. Decked out in harnesses and jumpsuits, we joined a group of 10 fellow adventurers and two knowledgeable guides for an exhilarating journey on the edge of the building, even with a glass flooring section.

Capture the Moment: One of the highlights of our experience was the complimentary Digital Photo Pack, a perk included with our Klook booking, otherwise you pay $50 for the pics. Not someone usually to purchase the photos taken, but it is an awesome pic with Sydney below.

Sunset Serenade: Timing our visit perfectly, we arrived at 5pm, just in time to witness the breathtaking sunset. From daylight to dusk, we marveled at the city's transformation as lights flickered to life, casting a magical glow over Sydney's skyline.

Practical Tips for Your Visit:

  • Opening times are 10am to 8pm with lat entry at 7pm.

  • Remember, participants must be at least 90cm tall to join the Skywalk tour and can’t be in their third trimester of pregnancy. You will get breath tested before being harnessed up.

  • Booking in advance is a must, as spots tend to fill up quickly. Consider going during unique times of the year such as Vivid Sydney and see the lights fill the sky. Take into account daylight saving if you are booking well in advance.

  • Prepare to lose track of time; the views are mesmerizing, and you may find yourself lingering for hours.

  • Binoculars are provided for an even closer look at Sydney's landmarks.

  • Embrace the moment of mindfulness; you cant take your camera or phone out on the Skywalk so immerse yourself in the experience.

  • Listen attentively to your guide; you'll learn fascinating tidbits about Sydney's history along the way.

  • Don't forget to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time to ensure a smooth check-in process, but I recommend earlier to check out the views from the Observatory Deck.

  • You might like to stay for dinner at their revolving restaurant, SkyFest, for views of the city skyline and harbour.

Access and Parking: For easy access, we parked at Secure Parking on Piccadilly, just a short stroll from the entrance at Westfield Level 5, corner of Pitt and Market Street. The convenience made navigating the city a breeze.

For us, the best part was the timing, we saw the stunning views of the city in daylight, watched the sunset and the city lights turn on from the top of Sydney’s tallest building! It definitely left an impression. Have you been before? Do you have any tips for our readers? We would love it if you joined the conversation and left a comment below.
