Travel Shows On Free To Air TV

You do not have to be subscribed to the latest streaming service these days to catch some great travel shows, find inspiration and get your fix. There are some decent ones on free to air television that are sure to catch your attention.

Have you heard of?

  • Back To Nature on Tuesday nights at 8pm on ABC TV. Hosted by Aaron Pederson and Holly Ringland. Fresh off the blocks, it only started this month and focuses on sharing unique stories from all around Australia.

  • You will find Postcards on 9Life on Saturday, Mondays and Wednesdays. A series based on new and exciting things to see and do and places to stay in Victoria, Australia.

  • Sydney Weekender is being broadcast on Channel Seven on Mondays. Its been around for years.

  • All 4 Adventure is broadcast on Channel 10 on Sunday afternoons. It is now in its 11th action-packed season as the boys explore the Coastlines of the Cape. This is one that I love to watch!

  • Joanna Lumley’s Adventures are aired on the ABC on Sunday nights. Joanna Lumley is a well known presenter and actress, and shares unseen footage from her travels around the world.

  • Weekend Breaks With Gregg Wallace is on SBS Food on Sundays. Gregg goes spends a weekend break taking us on a culinary tour of some of Europe's best cities. Appeals to the chefs amongst us.

  • Catch Roads Less Travelled on Sunday afternoons on Channel 10. This is an Australian Road Trip Series which explores hidden gems that only the locals know about. Tour some of the lesser known roads exploring unique locations amidst Australia's natural beauty.

  • Watch Tony Robinson's World By Rail on SBS on Wednesday nights at 7:35pm. At the moment he is exploring Europe.

  • For the train fans, watch Great Asian Railway Journeys on SBS on Thursday nights. Hour long episodes showing off places around Asia.
