Introducing this month’s avid traveller, Helen from Melbourne, Australia.

Helen Nguyen, has just landed a job as a Graduate Mining Engineer in Western Australia. When not working FIFO, Helen loves to travel. At the age of 27 she has already been to over 60 countries.

1. Why do you travel?

To get away and explore new cultures, see and experience thing's that Australia lacks, and most importantly, to appreciate the life I have been given. 

2. Tell us your favourite: a place to visit, mode of transport and source to get travel info.

Place: Iceland

3. What is your favourite travel memory?

Going to Iceland, and getting the opportunity to see and sit on an iceberg on a black beach! 

4. What's the most important thing you've learned while travelling?

Being grateful for everything I have today, not complain about anything in life.

5. Who would you love to sit next to on your next flight?

6. What's your best money-saving tip to travel?

Take public transport, stay in hostels and eat out at local restaurants. Plus bargaining and shopping around for cheaper tours!

7. How do you deal with the post-holiday blues?

Start planning the next few trips, while on holiday!

8. What's one thing you like to do in every place you visit?

Eat good cheap local food and take photos of places that represents their country. 

9. Travelling can leave a big environmental footprint, how do you minimise yours?

Bring my own reusable water bottle and bags.

10. Plan an around the world trip for us, stopping in one city only on each continent.

Australia > Japan > South Africa > Iceland > Canada > Argentina > Antarctic
