This Thing Called Life

Life comes with no guidebook or instructions, no remote to lose or cords to tangle.
You may be able to turn the volume down, up or even off,
But remember you can’t stop time, no you can’t stop time.

There is no pause button on life, no such thing as reverse or fast forward.
You may be able to record moments to treasure,
But remember you can’t stop time, no you can’t stop time.

Don’t be in the audience for your life, there is no playback, just live TV.
You may feel, celebrate, embrace, mourn and appreciate,
But remember you can’t stop time, no you can’t stop time.

There is no timer, watch later or digital record, it’s simply now or never.
You may be able to create your own playlist,
But remember you can’t stop time, no you can’t stop time.

Don’t waste your life on worry, for things may never eventuate.
You may recount the good times and ponder why on the not,
But remember you can’t stop time, no you can’t stop time.

Make your life one that people will want to watch, you can’t cut and paste scenes,
You may as well fill it with fun and adventure, be authentic and true
Because remember you can’t stop time, no you can’t stop time.
No, you can’t stop time.
