How To Overcome Fear Based Living

Fear can hold us back from living a full life. It is an unsettling feeling. It is heavy.

Fear turns off your ability to dim your senses. You are living in a heightened state.

Have you considered taking a fear detox? Giving yourself a break from the hard road? If not, it’s time. Time to make a choice to live a full life, without the fear. Try to;

  • unplug from the internet/social media/voices of others - stop reading, talking, comparing for a period of time

  • stop doubting yourself. Show up with courage and guts - make use of your strength now so you don’t always have to be strong. Re-read that! Being strong all of the time is hard going. . If you make use of your strength now, you will not always have to be strong. The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek - Joseph Campbell

  • rid yourself of perfectionism

  • have the audacity to do what brings light and peace into your heart

  • don’t feed into pain and anger, instead use this feeling to surrender with faith. Only hurt people hurt people - Shlvam RaTuri

  • everything you are afraid of is only your perception, it hasn’t happened yet. Release your anxiety. Be mindful and live in this moment. A life lived in fear is a life half lived - Strictly Ballroom

  • don’t give up because it is taking so long - when one door closes, push open the next door and move forward. Hope is the only thing stronger than fear - Robery Ludlum

  • consider - suffering is a choice. We are not here to suffer. Find a state of grace in order to best deal with your suffering. Learn from your suffering, pick yourself up and make a fresh start. Attachment is one way that leads to suffering. Stop finding things to attach to. Let things go and realise you will be okay without them. Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose – Yoda

  • ask yourself - Am I having a fear-based thought? Do I need to listen to it? Give it no attention. Do not listen to it. Do not take it on. Prepare and protect yourself. It’s just the devil/ ego/fear, trying to derail you, to knock you off course. Realize and feel confident in what you know. It is often not necessary. Don’t create drama in your life. No one ever told me how much fear is hidden in love - Erin Loechner

  • get on with your life in a healthy and positive way. To forget how to dig the earth and tend the soil is to forget ourselves - Mahatma Ghandi

  • once you choose to have faith over fear your life will radically change - trust me!
