March 2022 In Hindsight

What a shit show the month of March was.
War in Ukraine. A country I haven’t been yet but I have friends that live in Kiev that I worry for.

The rain never gave us a break in Sydney. School was closed for four days, yet those of us who could go in, did. Programs were a mess. Activities had to be cancelled. Recess and lunch was inside. Kids are not meant to be in the classroom all day and I am definitely not meant to be in a classroom with kids all day. I was stressed, overwhelmed and craving my own space. I did enjoy my classes I had though; a Year Three for two weeks, Year Six and a Kindy class for a week each. They were good kids and I enjoyed getting stuck into a program and actually teaching.
