Questions To Ask On A First Date
Do you have a hot date coming up soon and you are worried about the awkward silence that descends when you run out of things to say? Well, fear not, because I have your back. I am the queen of questions, just ask my friends. Rather than feeling the pressure and the spotlight is on me, I prefer instead to fill any silence with questions that will have people opening up and sharing their stories, and funny enough, the time flies by.
But saying that, silence is okay. It does take time to accept it. It takes practice. It takes being okay with yourself. It takes feeling comfortable with where you are.
It is a great trait to be able to talk less and listen more. But at the same time, you don’t want to be one of those people who take nothing in that the other person is saying, and is constantly trying to think of the next thing to say. By listening with intent and following the conversation you will feel it will just flowing without effort. Reply to your date's answers with appropriate comments or questions and appear interested. A little humour can go a long way too, to ease any nerves.
So try these conversation starters out and let me know how you go…
