September 2022 In Hindsight

I did manage to get my life back on track this month. The intensity of my work was still there but I managed it much better. I also got in a day trip to Newcastle, away to Bowral for a couple of nights and Father’s Day lunch. With thanks to the Queen for the rainy public holiday, we got more home renovations complete which is always so exciting. Plus the start of the school holidays. What’s better than holidays?! We were to do a road trip over to Perth but the dates had to change due to the public holiday and I couldn’t get the time off. I was devastated. It took a couple of days of grieving before I got over it. Instead, I planned a last-minute getaway to Dubbo, which has been on my bucket list for years. As it was all last minute my sisters were working, my parents were busy, and my friends were away. I could have gone alone but wanted some company so I took two of my little friends and we had a great adventure together. Driving through the beautiful country rolling hills, seeing the bright canola fields and the animals grazing in their paddocks. It was great medicine for my eyes and heart. Now, one more week of holidays to enjoy.

What's new -

* Home improvements - bathroom reno happened - new tap wear on bath and shower. New vanity in and tapware. Spray-painted spa spouts white. Bought a faux orchid plant for bathroom decor. So the bathroom has now gone from cream to white. Looks so slick. The only thing left to do is towel hooks and a new toilet. We bought vanity and tapware for the ensuite upstairs and hopefully, this will go in this weekend. We splurged on a large shower head for the ensuite. I love it but it uses 9L of water a minute so I feel so guilty having a shower. Booked a council clean-up for November so plenty of time to find more crap to get rid of. The painter booked for next month decided he wants the flooring in first so has put it off till early next year. Another disappointing blow but we have much to do in the meantime.

* finally put my tax in to get done

* had my first spa bath of the year this week. I used to do it quite often but then stopped. I was gifted a beautiful Glasshouse candle ‘Kyoto In Bloom’ so lit it, pumped the praise music and relaxed after two days of driving 1000kms all over the countryside.
