Northern Territory In Photos

Whilst I have lived in Sydney just about all of my life and have travelled to different parts of Australia, I can assure you that there is no other place in the world like the Northern Territory. It is definitely somewhere you should visit and explore at some point in your life.

There is so much to see including Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, Kakadu, Katherine Gorge, Daly Waters Pub, Magnetic Termite Mounds and Litchfield National Park.

In Alice Springs I recommend you check out Simpsons Gap, Telegraph Station, ANZAC Hill Lookout and there is a really cool Reptile Centre there. Kings Canyon has a hard but worthy three-hour hike where you should check out the Garden of Eden and Lost City.

Seeing sunrise and sunset at Uluru is magical. The gates open at 6 am but I suggest you get there earlier as there is always a long queue. You can walk or hire a bicycle to get around the huge rock. You should be able to do it in under two hours.

Another hike is around The Olgas. It takes 1.5 hours. The Devils Marbles is a great place for photographs and make sure to stop in at Daly Waters for the famous pub and to try the Barra Burger. And if you are after some relaxing, try the hot springs at Mataranka.
