Australian Towns With First Names

How cool would it be to visit a town named after you? Well maybe not exactly after you, but you both share the same name.

Whilst travelling in Australia we have come across two places called Laura, one in South Australia and the other in Queensland.

It is a photo opportunity if nothing else.

Do a quick Google search and see what if you can find a town that shares the same name as you. Have you been there before?

What about surnames? That’s a whole other can of worms. Though, on that topic, my family did happen to stumble across a town called Woodbury when we were visiting the South Island in New Zealand a few years ago. Who would have known?
